Aiteo is one of Africa's fastest-growing energy leaders, and a large PanAfrican conglomerate.

Aiteo Eastern E&P is operator of the OML 29 block, located 15km north of Brass in Nigeria, in the swamp. The block holds some of the largest fields onshore subsahara Africa.

Due to major evacuation challenges over the last few years, AEEP built its own evacuation terminal to export oil directly from Nembe Creek FLB. All OML29 production is now gathered in a brand new crude oil terminal, where oil is then shipped to Bonny Terminal.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS / ROLE

The Terminals Manager will be responsible for planning, managing and supervising terminal operations to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the facility, considering safety and operational factors while adhering to AEEP policies and procedures and instructions.

Main duties and responsbilities are presented below.

We are looking for 2 Crude Oil Terminal Managers to work on rotation (1 month on - 1 month off).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires a minimum of 10 year experience in a Senior Supervisory, or Assistant Manager’s role, in an Oil Storage Terminal, and Marine tanker Jetty environment, or equivalent experience within the oil industry.

• Good operational and technical background, with excellent organizational skills.

• Knowledge of ship or barge operations, terminal handling, stock control, and tank farm management.

• Excellent managerial skills, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, computer literate, fluent in English

- Good awareness of industry/transportation trends, philosophies, best practice etc.

- Excellent awareness of safety practices in crude transfers, shore to ship and ship to ship

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in defining the overall facility strategy and ensure compliance with the same.

• Assist in defining and planning facility activities/procedures on the lines of the Crude Oil terminal structure, facility configuration, nature of operations and type of equipment.

• Assist in defining facility traffic rules/ facility capacity matrix to optimize the productivity of equipment and throughput capacity of the Crude Oil treatment and evacuation facilities.

• Plan for handling of crude oil and water barges with quick delivery pre planned due to facility space constraints.

• Ensure damage/ free loading of barges.

• Ensure proper tally of any and all evacuated crude oil and water whether discharged or loaded to be accurate (all discrepancies to be immediately notified to AEEP management to avoid claims).

• Ensure all HSE Rules/Regulations are followed.

• Ensure Secure operation at all times through coordination with the Security Team on ground.

• Ensure coordination with the Loading Standards Manager to ensure team competence and compliance.

• Ensure timely and meaningful production of Daily facility performance reports.

• Ensure facility operations are managed in accordance with terminal policies and procedures, legislative policy, to meet customer requirements.

• Track and monitor facility inventory, ensure barges arrival and departure is accurately planned.

• Ensure strict adherence to protocols for oil and water loading.

• Ensure equipment maintenance program is monitored and modified based on planned and real time information i.e. availability of equipment and resources.

• Manage (plan, lead, organize, control) all facility operations, planning and personnel provision ensuring that shift rosters are in accordance with facility requirements and comply with fatigue management principles.

• Coordinate with marine operations for receiving information on barges arrival times and ensure that arrival procedures are executed.

• Administrate & report incidents/events to AEEP Directors and translate into procedures for future prevention.

-Provides Company Marine representation during partners and regulators engagement e.g., NAPIMS, NIMASA, NCDMB etc
