Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Retirement and Life team as a National IMO/BGA Sales Director! About the role As the National IMO/BGA Sales Director, you will be responsible for promoting the Symetra brand as well as life and retirement products. This newly created position is a key role within Symetra's Life and Retirement Divisions, with accountability to both divisions. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships that lead to growth in life and annuity sales with existing partners while developing new distribution opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to inform the overall IMO/BGA distribution strategy through feedback on product, sales strategies and marketing. What you will do Drive life and annuity sales through the existing IMO/BGA distribution channel, meet and exceed sales goals on both partner and distribution channel levels. Convey a high-performance culture when representing Symetra Financial as a brand including but not limited to our VTS standards Play a lead role in channel growth through business development opportunities. Facilitate the increase in sales in each assigned partner through effective sales positioning of Symetra life and annuity products. Provide Symetra product, suitability, and procedure training for the distribution channel partners. Lead all aspects of sales process of top producing relationships when selling Symetra products. Participate in development of Symetra's overall IMO/BGA business strategy on both an enterprise and divisional level. Collaborate with other business leaders to align Marketing, Product Development, and Sales Support activities to implement Symetra's business strategy. Work closely with business units, celebrating successes together while addressing challenges with clarity and a solution focused approach. Respond to the partner concerns in a timely manner, providing excellent service levels, while forming effective relationships with key partners. Stay abreast of competitor practices and general industry data to ensure products, incentives/rewards, etc. demonstrate leadership within the industry. Project and reflect a positive image representing the company. Model and encourage the promotion of ethical behavior across Symetra Financial and its business partnerships. Promote the quality agent/quality company philosophy both externally and internally by articulating a customer first mentality. Communicate company strategy and the importance of collaboration to all direct and indirect reports. $80,000 plus eligibility for incentive compensation Requirements Your experience and skills Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or equivalent experience 5 to 10 years relevant work experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry. 5 years sales and marketing leadership experience required. Symetra COVID-19 Vaccination Policy This role will require you to travel for business, have in-person contact with fellow employees, customers and partners or physically work in one of our office locations. As such, you will be required to acknowledge and comply with Symetra's COVID-19 vaccination policy, which will include providing proof of your COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment unless you are approved for a medical or religious exemption. However, should OSHA issue additional vaccination policies or mandates, Symetra will expect full compliance as required by OSHA, including a possible vaccination mandate for remote employees. Work Authorization Employer work visa sponsorship and support are not provided for this role. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at hire and must maintain authorization to work in the United States throughout their employment with our company.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
