Refer to our earlier advertisement in People’s Daily, National Express and Federal Tenders Journal all of Monday, 21st August 2017.
By this, Jigawa state College of Education Gumel, wishes to inform the general public and the bidders who were involved in the process that the process is cancelled and is declared null and void.
However, another advertisement for pre-qualification and invitation to tender will be published later in National Dailies and Federal Tenders Journal.
The College wishes to solicit for your understanding on the inconvenience this may have caused you please.

GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE (GPN) FOR YEARS 2015/2016 (MERGED) TETFUND ANNUAL INTERVENTION PROJECTS AND 2015/2016 (MERGED) TETFUND LIBRARY DEVELOPMENT
INTRODUCTION:
The Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel, Jigawa State hereby issues the General Procurement Notice informs eligible Contractors, Suppliers, Vendors and the General Public that the College is to undertake the procurement of Works and Goods under the 2015/2016 (merged) TETFUND Annual Intervention Projects and 2015/2016 (merged) TETFUND Library Development in the following areas:
WORKS:
Construction of 300 Seat capacity each Twin Lecture Theatre comprising of 4Nr. Changing Room, 2Nr. Rehearsal Room, 1Nr. Seminar Room complete with External Works. Construction of Academic Staff Office Block comprising of 36Nr. Offices, 1Nr. Board Room, 1Nr. Coffee Room with External Works.
GOODS:
Furnishing of 300 Seat capacity each Twin Lecture Theatre with 700Nr Lecture Seats, 4Nr. Standard quality stand laminated particle board, 8Nr. Executive Table (1760x1800x750mm), 8Nr. Senior Arm Swivel Chair, 16Nr. Visitors Chair and other various types of furniture. Furnishing of Academic Staff Office Block with 60Nr. Executive Table (1760x1800x750mm), 60Nr. Senior Arm Swivel Chair, 120Nr. Visitors Chair, 45Nr. 3-Seater Executive Leather Seats, l0Nr. Fire Proof File Cabinet, 30Nr. Book Shelves 3-Doors and other various types of furniture.
LIBRARY DEVELOPMENT:
Procurement of various Titles of Books, journals and Encyclopaedias, Procurement of Solar Light and Upgrade of Library information Management Software with embedded e-Books and Directorate of Open Access Journals and Procurement and Installation of 16 Channels of Security Surveillance Camera in Old and New Library Building, Procurement of Library Furniture.
(1.) Interested and eligible Contractors, Suppliers and Vendors are advised to lookout for the Specific Procurement Notice (SPN) for the various projects and goods mentioned above in the National Dailies and Notice Boards depending on the threshold of each project.
(2.) The Advertisement is NOT an invitation to tender.
(3.) Note that the bid documents would be evaluated on responsiveness to criteria including but not limited to: Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Company Income Tax (CIT), Compliance Certificate from Pension Commission (PENCOM), Compliance Certificate from Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Compliance Certificate from Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSTIF), Interim Registration Report (IRR) in the Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP) National Database of Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers. Documents submitted may be subjected to the diligence without recourse to bidders.
(4.) The Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel, Jigawa State also reserves the right to invoke the provision of Section 28 of the Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2007 on matters regarding in those procurements without incurring any liability to the bidder.
