Summary of Job Duties: Prepares, seasons, and cooks meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in accordance with specified recipes as well as guest request.

Specific and Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
• Prepares food orders per specifications for Guests
• Adjusts thermostat controls to regulate temperature of grills, and deep fryer
• Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare, salads, desserts, sauces
• Grills and deep fry’s meats, chicken and fish
• Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking
• Observes and tests foods being cooked by either pressure testing and/or use of a thermometer determine that it is cooked and observing proper cooking times
• Portions food on serving plates
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Cost Conscious – Understands how Casinos make money and appreciates the impact of own work on profits

Job Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least one-year experience in volume kitchen specifically with hot food preparation
• Knife and basic cooking skills required
• Specialized knowledge in basic cooking and sanitation
• Basic written and verbal English skills
• Work varied shifts

Preferred:
• Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in a similar hotel setting
• Bilingual

License:
• Food Handler's Card

Machinery or Work Equipment Used:
• Grill, broiler, stove, oven Hobart machines, deep fryer, salamander
• Professional grade cutlery
