Summary of Job Duties:

Audit the daily transactions conducted through the Hotel Front Desk as well as assists Guest with registration and checking-out of the hotel.

Specific and Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
• Audit and reconcile the daily transaction conducted through the Hotel Front Desk
• Registers guests and assign rooms
• Provides guest services such as ticketing, local information, hotel information, rendering bills and receiving cash and credit payments
• Resolve complaints and coordinates activities between departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Ensure hotel filing is properly maintained

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
• Perception and awareness of individual needs and the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally
• Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
• Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail
• Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
• Knowledge of accommodations room capacities and amenities
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
• Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards

Minimum Requirements:
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

Preferred:
• Post-secondary education
• Six (6) months previous cash handling experience
• One (1) year face-to-face guest service experience
• Bilingual, with English as the primary or secondary language
• Experience in a similar resort setting

Machinery or Work Equipment Used:
• Multi-line telephone, fax machine, personal computer, printer, copier, paper shredder and scanner
