Job Summary:
Paragon Tropicana Inc. (dba OYO Hotel & Casino Las Vegas) is searching for a Director of Marketing. This role is responsible for the operations of the Marketing Department including Database Marketing, Internet Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Hotel General Manager and the Executive Director of Casino Operations on the development and execution of the property Marketing Plan.
• Develop the Advertising Plan
• Negotiate media buys and advertising placement.
• Leverage advertising dollar to maximize added value. Identify co-op marketing opportunities and promotions that will support the properties marketing plan.
• Establish contacts and relationships with both local and out of market Media representatives.
• Develop and implements the Public Relation Plan.
• Identify P.R. opportunities that will reinforce the property position in the market place.
• Develop and implement the Internet Marketing Plan to achieve revenue goals.
• Identify Internet Advertising opportunities to maximize the property exposure.
• Work with the outside advertising agency on the creative development of the property’s brochures and collateral.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Adverting, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years previous casino marketing experience required.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• The property operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, so some occasional long hours, holiday and/or weekend work may be required.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
