Job Description: We are seeking an experienced IT Senior Technician to support our student onboarding process and provide technical support for our internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Responsibilities:
• Validate student network access during the onboarding process
• Ensure all student IT device requirements are met for network access
• Provide technical support for student IT devices including HD replacement, RAM upgrades, system convergence, troubleshooting, software updates, hardware updates, and connectivity issues
• Troubleshoot student devices when faults are encountered and document all faults and remediation
• Monitor the local ticketing system and complete/close-out tickets within the system
• Monitor the helpdesk phones during business hours and submit tickets on the behalf of the caller
• Patch and keep machines updated with the most up-to-date patches
• Resolve escalated issues of higher difficulty
• Train, coach, or assist less experienced team members
• Manage associate technicians
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Secret clearance
• Security + certification
• Experience managing associate technicians
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Availability to work 2nd shift (includes shift differential)
