At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. The Business Services team strives to support the economic stability of the Central Plateau Cleanup Company and the local Tri-Cities community through identifying savings opportunities, achieving subcontracting goals, and being a good steward of taxpayer dollars. The Business Services department includes: Facilities & Property Management, Finance, Information Management, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Business Assurance. Our Finance team is seeking a well organized leader to serve as our Accounts Payable Manager with the ability to effectively multi-task and handle multiple priorities. As our Accounts Payable Manager, we'll depend on your sound judgement and decision-making skills to successfully manage the Accounts Payable department.

A day in the life of a General Accounting Manager involves:
• Management and oversight of Accounts Payable department
• Mentoring and development of team.
• Primary accounting interface with other Hanford contracts support services.
• Accounts Payable business system technical lead.
• Evaluating and providing technical recommendations to improve internal controls, procedures, policies, internal controls and business system processes and implement solutions.
• Supporting company special projects.
• Motivating others to accomplish organizational goals & deliverables.
• Maintaining and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAP), Sarbanes Oxley, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS),Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Federal Travel Regulations (FTR)

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a minimum 10 years of experience related to government accounting
• US Citizen

Desired Qualifications
• DOE FAR Contractor Accounting, Audit and/or Business Systems experience
• Seasoned in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Access databases
• Knowledge of various systems including but not limited to Asset Suite, PeopleSoft ERP systems, Crystal Reporting, and QuickBooks
• Experience in government accounting compliance, including contractual interpretive knowledge of GAAP, SOX, CAS, FAR, and FTR regulation requirements
• Strong background in government accounting
