Poste proposé : Mining Training Specialist

Missions :

The Mining Training Specialist will devise the organizational training strategy, oversee its implementation, and assess its outcomes

He will identify training and developmental needs and drive suitable training initiatives that build loyalty to the Company
• Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers
• Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations develop and maintain a gap-analysis to indicate shortcomings within the skill and knowledge profile of employees on site
• Develop and maintain training matrixes by department
• Develop and maintain training procedures
• Develop training materials for in-house courses
• Source of competent trainers internally and externally
• Coordinate and supervise training programs
• Deploy a wide variety of training methods
• Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
• Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success periodically and report to the Manager
• Manage training budget, considering the costs of planned programs, and keeping cost within budgets
• Provide opportunities for ongoing development
• Resolve any specific problems as necessary
• Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices
• Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with matter experts regarding instructional design
• Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met
• Keeping up to date with developments in training for the mining industry to facilitate the continuous assessment of skills and knowledge available within the operation
• Record all training and maintain training records

Requirements :
• MBA or advanced degree in training engineering
• At least 5 to 7 years' experience in working in greenfield/ start-up projects.
• Experience within the mining and construction industries
• Extensive experience in HR generalist roles •
• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
• Experience working in multicultural team.
• Excellent proficiency in French and English written, literal, and spoken.
• Strong leadership, ability to drive, inspire. • Extensive change management experience
• Strong numerical sills & experience in budgets management
• Assertive written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Strong report writing and record keeping ability.
• Good computer and database skills
• A visionary: creative, strategic thinker and self-starter who is proactive and entrepreneurial.
