This role will deliver project manage and oversee security risk consulting engagements and operations projects across West Africa. The focus of the role will be on delivering and managing complex clients consulting tasks from scoping through project initiation, delivery and conclusion. It will also help drive growth of the other Control Risks services in the region.

Task and Responsibility
• The Consultant will be expected to deliver security and risks consulting tasks, with the particular emphasis on application of security management techniques in an African context across West Africa.
• Corporate security and resilience consulting tasks
• Operational security consulting tasks
• Operational delivery task including short term embedded roles
• Conduct quality assurance checks on other embedded consultants or other ongoing projects
• Conduct executive protection assignments as required
• Provide operational security support to other consultants delivering tasks in medium/high risk locations
• Service multiple consultancy assignments concurrently utilising regional resources
• Act as Engagement Manager and deliver on assignments
• Support the development of innovative products and services that address client need, and that help maintain the Company at the forefront of the sector

Business Development
• Support delivery of competitive business strategies and well-crafted business plans designed to expand the Company's standing with its Client
• Consistently develop the Company's positioning with its clients to enhance business development and secure higher fee-earning engagements
• Pro-actively seek opportunity to develop projects and business
• Increase business generated from clients across the practice region
• Ensure that revenue targets are met and/or exceeded

Task Delivery
• Delivery of tasks for clients on time, on budget, to the highest standards
• The role will involve travel to client sites and Control Risks offices (particularly in West Africa)
• The incumbent may also be required to undertake crisis management related activities and wider crisis and security consulting tasks as direct

Requirements
• Educated to degree level or professional qualification in a relevant discipline
• Good working French and English
• Project management skills within a commercial/consulting environment
• Strong commercial focus (financial management skills, legal and contractual skills) and leadership
• Good client (both internal & external) management and consulting skills
• Effective decision making & judgment
• Assertiveness and drive with strong influencing skills
• People leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and drive the performance of a team of security and risk professionals
• Strong interpersonal skills - building trust & rapport
• Excellent communication skills - written & oral (informal and presentation to board level)
• Post graduate qualification in a related area, extensive experience in commercial management within the sector
• Solutions focused
• Analyses situations and looks at broader picture, looks beyond own team and department to take a global view on issues where appropriate
• Innovates to create and deliver value to meet the needs of the organisation, its market and clients
• Make decisions which drive high performance and meet client needs
