About Regional M&E Manager – Thiès
The Regional M&E manager role, based in Thiès, is a new role to support the organization’s ability to carefully monitor and measure the success and impact of its work, use formative and summative data for decision-making, organizational learning and continuous improvement, and communicate the data’s implications internally and externally.
Team Management:
• Manage and build capacities of local team department heads especially in the areas of survey design, training, data analysis, supervise workflow and improve team cost efficiency.
• Provide support to the wider M&E team of 20 – 30 staff and 40-50 seasonal surveyors.
• Manage relationships with external evaluators to inform design and execute launch of third-party impact measurement
• Inform and improve program effectiveness Implement impact measure Measure Independently manage farm monitoring and harvest measurements for the core myAgro program and increase team efficiency.
• Work with program team to design the evaluation component for pilot projects and support wider R&D efforts.
• Work with leadership to inform organizational change strategies and long-term planning by using data to support and promote mission-level work
• Inform and improve team effectiveness:
• Use data to inform rapid decision making for program team for key activities of the program (training, planting follow up, …)
• Use data to inform and improve the effectiveness, training and execution of M&E team itself.
• Inform external communication:
• Extract and report on relevant data for publication, and use in marketing and promotion of myAgro programs, grant writing and reporting, and other needs
• Work with the Development team to ensure accuracy in grant reporting requirements and outcomes in Grant agreements
• Work with the Development team to design the evaluation component for new grant requests
• Knowledge Management:
• Record and codify myAgro’s M&E processes for replication in new regions and countries.
• Develop systems and processes to centralize and analyze data.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• French and English proficiency
• At least five (5) years of experience in a professional setting, primarily in developing and executing evaluation systems
• At least 2 years of international, developing country experience in a similar social enterprise or project management role with significant responsibility
• Experience with evaluation design, survey creation, and conducting focus groups and interviews
• Proven ability to work independently on important projects
• A passion for the mission, vision and values of myAgro
• Preferred Skills and Competencies:
• Masters preferred but not required
• Strong MS Office experience, particularly using Excel
• Strategic thought process and strong decision-making capabilities based on data analytics
• Creative and versatile approach to problem-solving; solution-oriented
• Proven, strong communication skills and ability to work cross culturally
• Flexibility, a sense of humor and an open mind are necessary
