Job description:
Helios Towers is a leading independent telecommunications infrastructure company, having established one of the most extensive tower portfolios across Africa. It builds, owns and operates telecom passive infrastructure, providing services to mobile network operators. Helios Towers currently operates in 6 markets in Africa and has recently signed agreements to enter 4 new markets in Africa and Oman in the Middle East.
Overview
Reporting to the Performance Manager, The Energy analyst will measure energy efficiency, analyze data on energy use, develop an energy model for buildings, recommend improvements, and assist contractors with technical support for installation.
He/She will focus his time on policy, energy, and climate modelling. He/She will work with other staff to create, modify, and run energy and climate models, including the Energy Policy.
The ideal candidate is comfortable obtaining information from diverse sources, such as reports, data hunting computer models, and academic journal articles, and by attending presentations and conducting interviews.
The role will be based in Dakar, Senegal.
Role Responsibilities
As an Energy Analyst, here are your responsibilities:
Staff Leadership and Management

Governance
Ad hoc and Operational Meeting
• Works to achieve operational targets with a significant impact on departmental results.
• Set up and manage ad hoc meetings for day-to-day operational requirements as and when required.
Escalations
• Resolve escalations as per defined escalation/resolution procedures.
• OpCo Operational
• Design and implement operational changes and provide associated user impact assessment.
Performance
• Improve productivity and quality through leading practice initiatives.
Reporting
• Provide inputs to the line manager (as required) relating to progress made within the department and
• in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organization
Requirements for the Role
To succeed in the role, you will be/will have:
• BSC (Electrical) Engineering or HND in Electrical Engineering or Data Analytics.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an Electrical/Mechanical environment, and computer programming, particularly with energy and climate models
• Strong understanding of sites audits procedures & risks
• Experience in working for a Company with similar reporting and legal obligations/disclosures to Helios Towers.
• Strong understanding of MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
