About the team
You’ll be a part of the User Growth group within VEED. This is a cross-functional group made up of teams of product, growth, engineering, design and marketing where everyone supports each other to achieve the biggest impact possible.
The group is self-sufficient with a culture of “a startup within a startup”. You’ll work within the product-led growth team side of the group, and help supercharge our user growth.
About the role
You’ll join as a Senior Product Designer in our Acquisition team, which is a product-growth, cross-functional team with a Product Manager, Engineers, Growth Marketers, and Design (you). We’re looking for someone who can strategically contribute to our product development and optimization process. Product design for us means a wide range of skill sets such as user research, testing, visual design, UX design, design structure, prototyping, understanding data, and most importantly user empathy.
You are equally focused on scaling the business and delivering a user-centric product, often acting as the bridge between the two.
What you will do
• You will own various different product journeys from building on the world’s biggest online video editor for new users across 35+ different languages to launching “zero to one” products in the video spaces in true startup fashion (some of them now have millions of users a month) to iterating and optimising.
• You will work through the entire design process, taking projects from ideas through to UX/UI, user flows, prototypes and asset delivery.
• You will own the experimentation and optimisation of key metrics across some of our key user journeys.
• You will partner with the Product team on vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• You will champion data in a fast-paced environment and work your way around qualitative and quantitative discovery will combine real human insights with data, form conclusions, and bring in new ideas into the team. About you
• You have a proven track record in product design and have solved tough challenges to make things better for people.
• You have extensive experience working on tools such as Figma, Miro, UserTesting, Typeform, Hotjar, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Looker.
• You are a master of your craft. You have great fundamentals of Visual Design (typography, layouts, color) and User Experience (interactions, journey maps, ux principles) and can balance function with form.
• You are amazing at user interviews, user testing, benchmarks, observations, surveys, and behaviours analytic platforms. You combine real human insights with data, form mathematical conclusions, and bring in new ideas into the team.
• You have worked in cross functional teams before and should be able to convey new ideas while bridging new concepts to a very diverse audience of product managers, engineers, researchers, growth marketers, operations, marketing, finance, and so on.
• You are a continuous learner. No week is the same here at VEED, and we're all constantly learning as we go. You have to be infinitely curious and excited about figuring stuff out with us.
