Job description
eta is a national private provider of post school education. We specialise in higher education programmes that prepare our graduates for a range of professional opportunities. This is a part-time position where you will be a lecturer on the 2 Degree’s that eta is offering, namely a Bachelor of Exercise in Sports and Leisure (Sports and exercise focused) and the Bachelor of Management in Sports (Sports Business management focused). You would be primarily involved in lecturing on Business focused course across all 3 years of the Degree and should hold an Honours Degree in anything B.Com/ Business management related.
The roles and responsibilities include:
• Preparing and delivering lessons guided provided teaching guides.
• Preparing students for pre-designed assessments.
• Communicating with students regarding all things academic.
• Grading/marking submitted assessments.
• Recording grades on our record keeping systems.
It's important to note that this position is part time, meaning there are no office hours. What you will be required to do is prepare and deliver the classes on campus, mark student submissions and upload the marks onto our student management system. There will be training prior to the beginning of your duties, provided that you can be available for the training (+- 3 hours). You will need to be available until the end of the semester which is the 23rd of June.
Each lecturer is assigned certain modules that they are responsible for. Modules you will be responsible for are as follows.
• Theories and principles of business and management (1st Year)
• Finance management, governance, policy and professional practice (2nd Year)
There are detailed teaching guides for every module, outlining what needs to covered in the classroom as well as resources that can be used to prepare for classes.
The class sizes range from 7-20 students per module. Our classes run from Mon- Thursday starting at 09:00 and ending at 13:30.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 6 per week
Salary: R150.00 per hour

• Bloemfontein, Free State: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• Honours (Required)
Experience:
• Lecturing/Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Sports/Exercise business industry: 1 year (Preferred)
