A well-established consulting engineering company, has a vacancy for a Senior Civil Engineer in their Secunda Office. Previous working experience in the engineering development, design, and construction of a range of projects in industrial plants (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Mining, and Power Generation Plants) will be an advantage.
Minimum Requirements;
• Must have a minimum 6 years' experience in civil engineering, experience in roads will be an advantage
• Experience in the Oil & Gas Environment will be an advantage
• Must have solid knowledge and understanding of software like Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Competent with Civil Designer, Civil3D and AutoCAD would be advantageous
Minimum Qualifications
• BSc/BEng/BTech Degree in Civil Engineering
• Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer/Professional Technologist or in the process of registering
Main responsibilities:
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
• Defining and understanding specific project scope and deliverables, and managing the submission of competitive proposals
• Functioning as part of a project team, liaise with other professional team members, other engineering disciplines, and contractors
• Coordination and management of the design team
• Planning and management of the engineering aspects of projects in terms of scope, time, costs, and quality
• Prepare Contract administration documentation based on NEC3/ NEC4
• Carries out technical design work to a high standard. Has a sound knowledge of a broad range of civil engineering fields
• Review, update, and modification of drawings
• Technical support and supervision during construction
