External Sales Representative - Cape Town
Salary: R30k Basic + Petrol, Car and Cell Phone Allowance and Commission
Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a permanent courier External Sales Representative Consultant based in Cape Town. Ideally from the road freight, courier industry, logistics, express freight, road transport or office automation with direct external sales experience, "hunter" driven sales person. The sales representative is responsible for on-boarding new business, tending to existing business, key clients and building new relationships in the industry that requires our services. Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 ; Relevant Tertiary Qualification (would be advantageous).
• Min 3 years' experience in external sales (cold calling, lead referrals) within the road freight courier industry
• Ability to pick up training quickly if not from the industry, sell; build relationships essential.
• Salary: R30k Basic + Petrol, Car and Cell Phone Allowance and Commission
• Industries - Logistics, Freight, Courier, Express Freight Road Transport Or Office Automation
• Must be able to sell, and have a broad knowledge of many business and networks within each
• South African Citizen with clear criminal record
Skills And Knowledge:
• External Sales and or transport; freight courier industry experience (first option)
• A person of integrity, character and professional attitude
• Excellent communication; client relations & service orientation skills
• Attention to detail & follow up skills
• Must be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Own transport - reliable and trustworthy
• Ability to operate independently.
• Good planning and organising skills.
• Computer Literate (MS Office at an advanced level)

Duties:
We're looking for a results-driven Sales Representatives with exceptional interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage customer prospects and leads. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.
Responsibilities
• Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
• Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
• Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
• Analyse the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports
• Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
• Continuously improve through feedback
