Introduction
An opportunity is available in Atlantis, Western Cape for a qualified and experienced Factory Accountant. This is a multi-faceted role, requiring a high-energy professional with a background in financial management. The incumbent will report to the Operations Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee the purchase of raw materials, consumables and maintenance equipment.
• Reconcile beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock (monthly mass balancing).
• Manage the cost of transport and material waste.
• Oversee month-end stock takes, variance investigations and the capturing of the stock take.
• Credit management – debtors and customer account management.
• Product costing – monthly cost roll and ad-hoc costing.
• Update the bill of materials (BOM) and pricing on the relevant system.
• Month-end financial reporting to the Operations Manager.
• Ensure good financial management on site.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications:
• Required: Complete BComm Accounting
• Required: Advanced Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Office
• Preferred: Understanding of MRP systems

• A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment
