Purpose
To provide a supervisory role to manage the overall functioning of the fruit and veg area; with the focus on shrinkage and stock control; including staff supervision and compliance with quality and food and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management -
To support Fruit & Veg Department by ensuring that the standards and procedures are maintained.
Ensure display of products on daily basis in line with range, stock rotation and freshness
Ensure that all Food and Health and Safety requirements are adhered to by applying daily practices
Monitoring shrinkage and ensuring that it is kept to a minimum.
Maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction
Staff Management
Managing and controlling all personnel in the unit as per labour legislation and Masscash Human Resource Policy.
All staff must adhere to the Food and Safety requirements - at all times, ensuring that all staff have received the necessary training and certification in this regard
Initiating disciplinary action when necessary
Reporting And Planning
IBT transfers are very important and must be adhered to on a daily basis; and captured daily in the transfer book.
