Introduction
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience (Benefits will be discussed in the Interview)
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as a Registered Nurse
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
• Updated Basic Life Support (BLS) qualification by an accredited provider is required
• Recovery room experience will be advantageous
• Computer literate
• Available to work shifts as requested by the Employer
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Accurate and legal recordkeeping to ensure safe patient care
• Function as part of a multidisciplinary team in order to render holistic patient care
• Maintain a safe environment that does not pose risks of medico-legal hazards
• Promotion of a patient’s health and safety
• Attend handover of the report at shifts commencement
• Participate in the unit’s quality improvement program
• Effective communication skills with regard to patients regarding their care
• Able to effectively refer complaints to the Doctor or Registered Nurse in charge of the ward/unit
• Carry out all departmental tasks as assigned by supervisors and ensure timeous completion of these delegated tasks
