Duties and responsibilities:
• Manage undergraduate and postgraduate academic administration in line with institutional rules, regulations and rule books.
• Conduct undergraduate and postgraduate student registrations.
• Provide curriculum advice to students.
• Assist with the administration of module evaluations.
• Conduct marks administration and all processes associated with capturing, verifying, and performing audit reports.
• Manage the appointment of external moderators, examiners, and invigilators.
• Schedule, compile, and manage the verification of programme
timetables (class, tests, exams) in liaison with institutional
stakeholders.
• Represent the department at timetable (class, tests, exams) institutional committees.
• Handle timetable (class, tests, exams) as well as lecture and test venue enquiries.
• Manage the booking of test venues.
• Manage the appointment of invigilators for tests.
• Conduct record management of tests/exams per assessment.
• Manage and capture postgraduate research information data on RIMS.
• Manage postgraduate applications, selection, and admission processes in collaboration with Student Academic Services.
• Capture and submit data regarding postgraduate application outcomes
to Student Academic Services or for other institutional processes.
• Manage postgraduate programme selection applications and admissions inquiries.
• Coordinate programme information sessions.
• Provide programme information to prospective applicants.
• Manage programme selection committee meetings, its associated administration, and document management.
• Manage proficiency assessments for postgraduate programme selections and admissions.
• Communicate the outcome of postgraduate applications to applicants.
• Schedule and manage the postgraduate programmes class and exam timetable.
• Manage departmental research committee meetings, its associated administration, and
• document management.
• Provide administrative support to the Head of Department and the department.
• Handle general and student academic enquiries.
• Capture research data on RIMS.
• Manage student assistants.
• Manage the remuneration of invigilators, external moderators, and examiners.

Inherent Job Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree on NQF level 7 in any Economic and Management Sciences or related field.
• One (1) to two (2) years of relevant working experience related to the duties and responsibilities.

Recommendations:
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Access, Outlook, Excel and Sharepoint.
• Experience within the higher education environment.
• A thorough understanding of the PeopleSoft system, Oracle and RIMS.
• Knowledge of university policies, procedures, administrative systems, and financial systems.

Salary:

The annual remuneration package, including benefits is R 354,408.50 – R 444,721.26 per annum depending on the budget available for the position, relevant work experience and qualifications.

bonus and study benefits.
