Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description
Reporting to the Technical Manager, You will be responsible for:
• Creating proper understanding of current plant performance – teamwork with Maintenance and Production to understand the capabilities of all machines and equipment, incl OEE based on current performance; identify gaps and bottlenecks; conduct time and motion studies to understand where the waste areas lie.
• Maximize performance of all plants and processes – implement new targets based on capability study, implement tools and systems to measure, control and monitor performance (OEE) of all plants; conduct training with Production teams on tools, systems, targets and processes to achieving maximum OEE, implement systems to eliminate bottlenecks, and minimize wastage of time and motion.
• Participation in meetings and reporting to management on plant performance, projects and other KPIs
• Carry our project management tasks in line with safety, capacity improvement and optimization projects.
• Ensuring a safe work environment
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
• BSc / BEng / BTech in Chemical Engineering
Skills
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of chemical plants and processes.
• Ability to carry out capability studies and implement optimization projects.
• Ability to read/interpret/create process flow diagrams, P&IDs
Package & Remuneration
Salary / Package
R360K - R420K CTC per annum
