Introduction
Our client in the Chemical Industry is recruiting a professionally qualified Stock Controller, the successful candidate will have experience in maintaining inventory levels in a manufacturing environment with a good understanding of Procurement methods and MRP.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Stock control
• Manage stock and maintain inventory settings in line with DDMRP model.
• Manage all stock transactions at branch levels as per SOPs.
• Expired, close to expiry overstocked.
• Drive preventative strategies and manage stocks to meet company objectives and targets. (Reduction of problem stock)
• Develop actions together with sales to address stocks already in problem status.
• Reporting on a weekly basis to National Inventory Manager
• Back orders
• Drive preventative strategies and manage stocks to meet company objectives and targets (reduction of problem stocks.)

• Administration
• All documentation is to be maintained to company standards.
• Stock counts
• Manages perpetual, monthly, and quarterly stock counts.
• Captures physical count with every stock take and check variances.
• Reporting to HQ
Desired Experience & Qualification
• Matric and Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics
• Adaptability to work independently, prioritise deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail
• Punctual
