A leading consulting firm focused on transformation strategy, is seeking a Sales Consultant to join their Johannesburg team at the forefront of transformation and empowerment in South Africa.

In delivering end-to-end B-BBEE solutions for both local and international firms, the focus is not merely on increasing scorecard level, but on delivering transformation that reaches right to the heart of a client’s business, and actually delivers gains to the bottom line and increased business performance.

As this trusted advisor’s Sales Consultant, you will gain exposure and experience with well-known Multinational and JSE-listed companies. This role maintains a strong focus on marketing and sales skills as well as interpersonal skills to establish lasting relationships with existing and new clients and to create business development that promotes company growth.

Key Qualifications And Experience Required For The Sales Consultant
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, industrial technology, or a related discipline
• Circa 3-5 years’ experience in sales consultancy and marketing within a corporate environment
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge on the use of digital platforms and CRM systems to manage and pursue sales
• Experience in business intelligence, negotiation, and persuasion skills
• Strong understanding of clients, market dynamics and requirements
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Key Duties Of The Sales Consultant
• Develop and add to the pipeline of sales opportunities and present any risk areas within pipeline
• Contact and engage with key account representatives
• Develop a working knowledge of the industry, company products and competitors
• Follow up on client leads and previous client contacts
• Manage the sales cycle on the CRM system
• Regular maintenance of database, ensuring contact information is up to date
• Reach sales targets by utilising all sales platforms
• Engage closely with company marketing
• Confidently deliver client pitches
• Gain knowledge of Hubspot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
• Initiate engagements with business leaders to understand and on sell products
