Duties & Responsibilities
• Level 3 technical escalation point for the help desk team
• Train and upskill the help desk team
• Adhoc projects that may be assigned from time to time
• Provide an excellent IT support service to customers
• Work according to UK/Ireland office hours
Desired Experience & Qualification
• 5+ years experience in a similar role, preferably within a multi-customer environment
• Must have Microsoft or other industry certifications (eg. A+,N+,MCSA,O365,Ubiquiti,Azure,WatchGuard)
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft server technologies
• Configuring and managing RMM and Microsoft Systems center
• Building and configuring Server hardware - including RAID configuration
• Server backup Software management
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Cloud technologies including administration of Office 365, InTune, SharePoint, Teams and Azure AD
• Understanding of third party software such as Sage 50, Sage 300, VIP, SAP, Quickbooks etc
• Experience with installing and setting up SSL certificates including renewals
• Understanding and troubleshooting of all applications within the Office 365 environment
• Sound knowledge and experience of LAN and WAN technologies ie. switches, wireless APs and firewalls
• Solid experience with server backups including configuring, restoring and troubleshooting.
• Must have VoIP experience
• Advantageous to have Mac OS skills
• Ability to create easy to understand technical documentation for junior engineers to follow
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Good communications skills, both verbal and written
• Fluency in English is a MUST
• Responsible team player who is capable of working on their own initiative and can make a fresh and positive contribution to the helpdesk team
• Must reside in and around Durban
• This is a Non-AA/EE position
