Growth- Ten/Richfield Graduate Institute of Technology is looking for a Business Development Manager.

You will be required to introduce our products and services to new companies across South Africa. This role is heavily focused on generating and following leads, introducing and presenting our service offerings and generating new business.

The role will include, but not be limited to:

· Develop a B2B growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction which will be achieved through the sound execution of a needs analysis and aligning the organisation’s products and services to this.

· Conducting research to identify new markets and customer needs.

· Prospecting using personal and business lead generation platforms.

· Generate leads and cold call prospective customers

· Setting up business development meetings with prospective clients.

· Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone

· Update and manage prospects, activities and pipeline on the company CRM - Salesforce.

· Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.

· Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.

· Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business

· Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes

· Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them. The business expects a B2B manager to be the subject matter expert in everything to do with (but not limited to):

o Skills development spend and how it ties into the BEE Scorecard

o Bursaries and how they tie into the BEE Scorecard

o Learnerships

o Executive Education (both hard and soft skills)

o CSI spend and the associated tax benefits thereof

· Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department.

· Liaise with the finance team and logistics departments where appropriate

· Seek ways of improving the way the business operates

· Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate

· Keep abreast of trends and changes in the market

· Negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases to ensure a mutually beneficial outcome that sets the organisation up for future cross sell opportunities.

· Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to Group Sales Director.

· Keep records of all documents.

· Will be expected to achieve and maintain realistic weekly targets that include:

o Prospect activities

o Pipeline generation

o Pipeline conversion

o Closed won deals

Other information

· Location: South Africa (preferably Gauteng or Kwa Zulu Natal)

· Must be willing and able to travel locally and into sub Saharan Africa if required
