A global speciality and branded multinational company is seeking a Technical Service Manager to join their growing team in Durban.
The strategic and tactical role is responsible for the design methodologies of the new and ever-changing technical services across the business globally. The right candidate will be accountable for architecture development as well as improvement through strategic transformation.
Key qualifying criteria for the Technical Service Manager
· B.Com or BSc Computer science degree
· Certification in architecture - TOGAF, Zachman etc.
· Operational Management Methodology – ITIL, COBIT, ITI4IT, DevOps, Agile
· 10+ years of management experience
· 10+ years managing technical operations and global services
Key duties for the Technical Service Manager
· Manage resources including storage, modification and communication of data
· Engage and influence through change management processes ensuring infrastructure is managed to agreed levels of service and data integrity
· Full responsibility for budgeting, estimating, planning and objective setting
· Plans and manages the implementation of processes and procedures for automated systems
· Monitors performance and takes corrective action where necessary and in line with policies
· Develops new methods and organisational capabilities for the management of services
The role is accountable for service quality, addressing any service failures that may occur as well as leveraging automation as a competitive capability.
