Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide Industrial relations support to regional cleaning operations including chairing disciplinary hearings, representing the company at the CCMA, the Department of Labour and organised labour institutions.
HR Function
• Enforce the Company’s ‘Code of Conduct’.
• Submission of weekly and monthly statistics.
• Provide advice to the Op’s Team pertaining to HR-related issues.
• Facilitation of any and all H.R. Related Consultation Processes.
IR Function
• Conducting of any and all Disciplinary Enquiries, unless, otherwise authorized by the regional HR Manager.
• Ensure that Discipline is applied consistently by actively engaging with Operations Management pertaining to warnings, counselling, etc.
• Representing the company at C.C.M.A level, when required.
• Submission of weekly and monthly statistics to the HR Manager.
• Supportive advice to the Op’s Team pertaining to IR-related issues
• Weekly audit of the Operations Disciplinary Register and reporting of any discrepancies.
• Provide technical support to site inspection by the Department of labour.
Skills and Competencies
• Excellent People Management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
• Solid knowledge of labour legislation: LRA/BCEA/EEA/SD6, etc.
• 1-3 years of H.R. experience, preferably in the Cleaning Industry.
• 1 -2 years of I.R. experience, preferably in the Cleaning Industry.
• 1 -2 years of C.C.M.A/Bargaining Council experience including representation at Arbitrations.
Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards within a diverse workplace.
Qualifications
• Matric/Grade 12 plus a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent national diploma
