A multi- Disciplinary consulting firm based in Springbok, Northern Cape is seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineer specializing in in PUMP SYSTEMS (Water, Waste and Sewage). The suitable applicant must have Consulting sector experience and be willing to relocate to Springbok.
Qualifications:
• Must have a minimum 2 year work experience
• Must relocate to Springbok, Northern Cape.
• Must have relevant and verifiable one or more years post-qualification working experience
• Experience in pipeline and pump station design, refrigeration design, process design, agri-processing would be an advantage
• Must have good communication skills verbally and in writing in English and Afrikaans.
• The candidate must be a team player who contributes to achieving the team's goals; must be self-drive and continually grow in taking responsibility and accountability for work tasks
• Candidates from previously disadvantaged groups will have preference
Responsibilities:
• Form part of a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering office.
• Mechanical/Industrial engineering modeling work in Revit / Plant 3D / Other software
• Mechanical engineering calculations (i.e., hydraulic calculation, systems curves, pump selection, load calcs, etc.) Project administration (i.e. minutes, project schedules, payment certificates, general correspondence, ISO 90001 quality management system, etc.)
• Site works (i.e., assist with surveys, quality control inspections, measurements, supervising, site instructions, etc.) Estimated expected time distribution of work tasks will be 20 % Draughting, 20 % calculations, 50 % project administration, and 10 % site work for the first year
