A great mining company in the Northern Cape is seeking the expertise of a Diesel Mechanic to join its team.
• Essential Requirements: *
• Grade 12
• N3 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
• Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate
• 3 5 years of experience underground mining experience post apprenticeship
• Duties and Responsibilities:*
• Attend to machinery breakdowns
• Detect and diagnose faults in machines and parts
• Diagnose and test parts with available computer programmes
• Inspect parts, components, and equipment for availability, and defects, and report deviations
• Perform risk assessments
• Performing lockouts
• Conduct on-the-job training for allocated apprentices
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, mine policies, procedures, and codes of practice
