Introduction
Our client is an International Mining House where an opportunity exists for a dedicated, hardworking, and enthusiastic and results driven individual to join one of their mines based in the Northern Cape. They are offering a rewarding and exciting opportunity within the mine for an experienced individual with a proven track record in the category of Survey Draughtsman
Duties & Responsibilities
• The Survey Draughtsman will construct and update the following in accordance with the DMR’s schedule of conventional signs and colours: Surface Plans Ventilation and Rescue Plans, Geological Plans and Mine Residue Plans.
• Keep an updated inventory of plans in accordance with Chapter 17 of the Regulations of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Ensure the survey back-ups and filing is always up to date.
• Interacts with Geology, Geotech and Mine Planning to ensure data integration. Assist in compilation of Accident and Fatal plans as required by DMR.
Desired Experience Qualification
• Advanced Draughting Certificate (COM).
• Advanced Knowledge of Bentley MicroStation V8i.
• Good Knowledge of Maptek Vulcan.
• Minimum of 5 Years’ Experience as a Draughtsman in the Mining Industry.
• Sound Computer Literacy in the Microsoft Office suite
Package & Remuneration
• Will be according to qualifications and experience and will include competitive conditions of employment. Salary will be market related
