Introduction
Our client is an International Mining House where an opportunity exists for a dedicated, hardworking, and enthusiastic and results driven individual to join one of their mines based in the Northern Cape. They are offering a rewarding and exciting opportunity within the mining sector for an experienced individual with a proven track record in the category of Emergency Response Coordinator
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure compliance to Section 11 of the Mine Health and Safety Act
Draft and implement emergency procedures (SOPs, COPs), evacuation procedures and emergency medical procedures.
Coordinate and manage the monthly / quarterly / annual maintenance and servicing of fire detection and suppression systems.
Maintain fire tender and equipment.
Conduct, review and update emergency & fire risk assessment (Baseline, Continuous and Issue based).
Conduct fire & emergency incident investigations and make recommendations.
Inspection and audit efficiency of existing systems.
Investigate new firefighting techniques and technology.
Coordinate emergency drills
Desired Experience & Qualification
National Diploma Fire Technology / Safety Management or equivalent qualification.
Degree in Fire Technology / Safety Management will be advantageous.
5 years related experience.
Code C Drivers License
Package & Remuneration
