Duties & Responsibilities
Start date: one week
Duration: 6 months.
POSITION: HSE OFFICER
Key performance areas:
Conducting Audit with Level 1 subcontractors. New Employee HSE Inductions, Short Service Employee Management system. Incident Reporting and Management, including NM/PI. Ensuring legal and system compliance. Identifying, assessing, mitigating, and management of the SHE hazards and risks. Documenting and controlling system and legal documentation. Enabling safety, health, and environmental compliance of third-party and sub-contractor employees. Ensuring that all Health and Safety training is provided. Incident investigation and proper follow-up to ensure effective closure of actions. Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by management. Manage communication strategies, prepare required newsletters, design, and implement efficient site safety training programs and perform investigations to eliminate all issues Documenting and controlling system and legal documentation. Good safety experiences for the fall protection, lifting work, scaffolding, confine space or tower
Skills and Knowledge requirements:
National Senior Certificate NSC.
Construction and Health Safety Officer certificate registered with SACPCMP.
Relevant qualification Diploma / Degree.
Preferably have experience in the HSE work field.
Having work experience in electrical and mechanical installation will be a big plus
Be able to use English proficiently.
Proficiently operate business software.
Fall protection planner certificate.
5 years working experience at least.
Other requirements:
Needs to reside in the Kathu, Kuruman, Postmasburg area
Need own laptop and cellphone
Own Transport
Must be available immediately
