We are currently recruiting for a Junior Energy Consultant to join a leading consulting engineering firm's Energy division in Cape Town.
This position with support the growth, development and service delivery of the energy team, with particular focus on electrical engineering aspects of projects, but also business development support and project management support of PV, wind, battery storage, green hydrogen and mini-micro-grid projects.
Focus on grid-connections and large project context, structure and role players are important as is project management support to the lead PM for the delivery of lenders technical advisory, owner's engineer and design services within the renewable energy sector.
Requirements:
• BEng. or BSc in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
• Preferably with further qualification in renewable energy
• 2-4 years experience preferably in the following:
• Design Experience in renewable energy projects will be an advantage
• Writing technical reports and presentations, compiling design drawings and presentations
• Preparation of bids and proposals
