Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed engineering institute
• 15+ years of rich experience in maintenance management of process and rotating equipment
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Fertilizers, Petrochemicals, or Oil Refineries of international repute
Key Responsibilities:
Technical:
• Implement preventive maintenance and condition monitoring plans to maximize uptime of gas processing plants
• Manage a multi-disciplinary team of technicians and craftsmen
• Ensure effective maintenance, troubleshooting, overhauls, and installation of rotating equipment and turbomachinery
• Develop and control OPEX and CAPEX within the Maintenance department for cost optimization
• Familiarize with Root Cause Failure Analysis and incident/accident investigation
• Ensure timely delivery of spare parts, consumables, and tools for uninterrupted site operations
• Familiarity with international codes and standards like API, ASME, ISO, NACE, ASTM, ANSI, etc.
• Plan and execute turnarounds within budget and monitor safe and timely completion
• Familiarity with Oracle/Maximo/SAP environment and relevant maintenance practices
• Experience in plant modification, commissioning, and handover
• Good working knowledge of Non-destructive testing and inspection techniques in the Oil & Gas industry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with inter-departmental teams and external contractors
HSEQ:
• Ensure adherence to HSEQ standards and guidelines in the process/Oil & Gas industry
• Maintain compliance within the maintenance team and contractors
• Familiarity with Emergency Response & Incident Management Procedures and protocols
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical:
• Install, commission, inspect, test, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical rotating and static equipment, pipelines, electrical installations, and instrumentation in the process industry
• Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of process plants and gas processing facilities
• Oversee the erection, commissioning, and start-up of major turbomachinery
• Ensure optimal lubrication, sealing systems, bearings vibration & temperature protections, and control systems
• Conduct removal and installation of bearings, mechanical seals, compressor dry gas seals, and couplings
• Utilize hot/cold alignment, laser alignment, and measurement techniques for bearings clearance and axial thrust
• Prepare and review work instructions, procedures, PTW, JSA, and other support documents
• Capture equipment histories and maintenance reports in CMMS
• Contribute to system improvement through Engineering change requests
• Maintain adequate levels of consumables and strategic maintenance spare parts
• Participate in risk management, RCFA, MOC implementation, hazard identification, and investigation
• Supervise and support contractors
• Participate in Emergency Response duties
• Assist Field Manager/O&M Manager in site operations
• Familiarize with hazardous areas classifications and safety critical equipment standards
• Develop CMMS databases and implement maintenance management systems
• Plan and execute maintenance projects and de-bottlenecking initiatives
