Job Description
The role
The Infrastructure Engineer will be primarily responsible for the delivery of first-class Infrastructure support across all our data centres and platform integration on the AWS Cloud environment.
In this role, you’ll have the responsibility for the design, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of our regional Data Centres. If you're an agile learner, have hands-on experience in architecting and implementing secure, reliable and resilient hybrid infrastructure solutions and able to function as part of a highly technical, multi-functional team, we would love to hear from you.
How you’ll make an impact
• Collaborate with passionate technologists across multiple subject areas to ensure security, resiliency and performance requirements
• Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS and Datacenter production systems
• Design and Implementation of Cloud, Data Centre infrastructure and solutions
• Act as the SME and point of contact for data centre relates issues and queries
• Hardware’s deployment (Server, storage, Rack and Network) and configuration
• Manage a continuous integration/deployment methodology for Infrastructure technologies
• Implementing and supporting hybrid infrastructure including servers, storage, operating systems (Linux and Windows Server), Public Cloud and Virtualization (VMware)
• Participate in a multi-functional team environment to provide troubleshooting and support around the IT Infrastructure and related services
• Provide project implementation support during business and occasionally off business hours
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
• 5+ years of IT infrastructure Experience across enterprise data centre, ideally with exposure to cloud platforms.
• Cloud infrastructure implementation experience and expertise, preferably across AWS or Azure products.
• On-premise Infrastructure Engineering experience – Server, Firewall, Switch, Rack, Storage, Cross connect, Windows, Linux, Virtualisation, PDU among others.
• Strong practical Linux & Windows operating system, including virtualization experience, in Cloud and data centre environments.
• Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (Eg. Ansible, PowerShell, Python) is a plus
• Experience on creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, working with GIT and Jira
