Malawi Fertilizer Company (MFC) invites applications from suitably qualified and results driven candidates for consideration to fill the following positions which are tenable at the MFC Plant in Liwonde, Machinga:
MECHANIC
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Safety measures for machines.
• Healthy safety measures for operators.
• Attends to breakdowns.
• Services and maintains machines on time.
• Daily routine checks.
• Cleans machines, forklifts, Loaders and Genset.
• Makes sure all machine bolt and nuts are secured.
• Planning services and maintenance for machines.
• Communicating with procurement officer to ensure all the required material for services are in stock to avoid delays.
• Ensure all safety working procedures are in place.
Minimum Qualification and work experience
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Grade 1 Trade Test Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanic.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
