Job description
• Support the development of Control Base;
• Linking the cost report and SAP structure to Control Base structure;
• Support the project manager in developing the Authorisation for Expenditure (AFE) to the PPA partners and monitor the AFR on regular basis;
• Monitor VOWD against the Control base, perform a cost and commitment reconciliations on monthly basis;
• Developing monthly cost reports against the approved cost baseline;
• Create and update the SAP WBS structure;
• Creating PR’s in SAP to maintain commitments on the project;
• Validating the value of work done (VOWD) against the Control Base and prepare the month management accrual;
• Budget shifting the remaining funds to contingency;
• Ensuring that the commitment and expenditure are equal;
• Create all Purchase requisition within 2 days of initial request and follow up to ensure that it has been released on time;
• Prepare invoice accruals monthly on received invoices but not processed on SAP;
• Reject invoices that don’t conform with GSO invoice requirements immediately;
• Weekly engagement with SCM and Finance to ensure alignment;
• Request vendors statements and prepare a vendor reconciliation monthly on identified specific vendors;
• Daily engagement with Snr Manager PS&O to ensure alignment.
Qualifications:
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Engineering/ Commerce/ Quantity Surveying.
Experience
• 6 years relevant experience;
• Experience in working on capital projects;
• Excellent understanding of all phases of project delivery process, from inception through to conceptual studies, FEED, detailed design, procurement and construction.
Skills
• Skilled negotiator who can work with field officers to complete negotiations with landowners;
• Strong skills in contract administration;
• Staff leadership and influencing skills;
• Skilled in developing creative solutions to problems;
• Strong communication skills – both oral and written;
• Ability to work effectively in a virtual multi-cultural team environment;
• Self-starter with results orientation;
• Good communication skills in both English and Portuguese
