Our client in the Telecoms sector currently is looking for a talented person to take up the challenging and interesting position of Key Account Manager to maintain solid relationships with the company’s key clients.

The key account manager’s responsibilities include growing the company’s revenue by ensuring that key clients are satisfied with the services provided, identifying new business opportunities for key clients, and attending all meetings, conventions and training workshops. You should also be able to develop relationships with potential clients.

To be successful as a key account manager, you should be able to analyze data and sales statistics and improve business and marketing strategies. Ultimately, an exceptional key account manager should be able to manage multiple key accounts without compromising on the quality of services provided.

The role
• Serves as the primary business contact for the client and is responsible for the following key result areas including but not limited to client acquisition through sales, and revenue generation based on prescribed budgets for each platform.
• Client retention through client services, customer relationship management, and query resolutions for new and repeat business.
• Marketing functions such as exhibitions and expos as assigned by the Head of Enterprise Sales (HES). Report preparation as assigned by HES.
• Any other duties as prescribed by the HES.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Contribute towards sales strategies and implement them on major clients
• Analysing business developments and monitoring market trends in relation to major customer requirements
• Prepare sales action plans and schedules
• Prepare and make reports on market analysis, competitor analysis, and market trends
• Ensure thorough knowledge of competitor activity and also keep abreast of issues affecting internet companies and the
• Telecommunications industry thus developing strategies to protect the company’s market position.
• Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate advertising and promotion programs in line with the Group marketing strategy
• Expanding sales in existing accounts key accounts by introducing additional solutions and services
• Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating orders, integrating client requirements with business operations
• Update the sales database with relevant client information to ensure a clear flow of information within the Commercial department
• Research new products and technological trends in general and assess the impact of these trends
• Drive internal processes and implementation of defined new product strategy, roadmap, and priorities to ensure client retention and acquisition.
• Promptly communicate and escalate with appropriate technical resources to attend to any customer queries requiring technical attention

Qualification, Experience & Skills
• Degree in Marketing or Sales or equivalent
• Driver’s License
• Sales professional with extensive market and product knowledge
• Experience in the same role with a Telco or ISP
