FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL: Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms. We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious NorthPark area Specialties include: Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, Podiatry and Bariatric surgeries. We are currently looking for PRN Ultrasound/Sonographer Technologist to join our team.
• PRN
• Rotating on-call Dates/Times:
• Monday – Friday, On Call 530pm – 7am
• Saturday, On Call 7am – 7am
• Sunday, On Call 7am – 7am
• Coverage needed for 4-8 days per month
• May be eligible for Sign-On Bonus!
• Performs vascular, body, small parts, extremities Ultrasound exams according to protocol, under indirect physician supervision and under the direction of a Radiologist
• Maintain a high level of proficiency and attention to detail.
• Interacts with and educates patient and patient’s family on the exam while utilizing safety and comfort measures.
• Employ ergonomic techniques to optimize exam outcome.
• Interacts with referring physician and physician’s office staff to relay relevant information.
• Assure relay of critical results and document.
• Complete paperwork and send information to PACS in a timely manner.
• Keep reading physician informed as necessary and respond to physician input.
• Maintain a positive interaction with clinic staff.
• Report proactively to supervisor.
• Identify equipment malfunction and request service calls when necessary.
• Maintain log books, back-up files, forms and operational information.
• Authorized to access storage areas for the purpose of performing patient care duties within the scope of practice.

Required Skills
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Ultrasound.
• Prefer 1-2 years’ experience obtaining hospital authorizations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Good communication skills and interpersonal relation skills.
• Must use independent judgment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
• Requires good time management skills.
