Job Description:
• News Gathering: Lead a team of news researchers to collect, curate, and verify news content from various credible sources in both Urdu and English languages.
• Content Dissemination: Oversee the efficient dissemination of news across our platforms, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate and engaging news to our audience.
• Team Management: Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to the newsfeed team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Editorial Oversight: Ensure the maintenance of high journalistic standards, accuracy, and impartiality in all published content.
• Trend Analysis: Monitor current events, news trends, and user engagement metrics to identify opportunities for improving content relevance and appeal.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to align newsfeed strategies with overall business objectives.
• Crisis Management: Be prepared to handle sensitive and breaking news situations with poise, discretion, and swift decision-making.
• Performance Tracking: Implement and maintain performance metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of the newsfeed team's efforts.
• Provide training to reporters and field staff on journalistic ethos, news-gathering techniques, and identifying critical information, among other relevant skills.
Job Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelors in Research, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3 to 5 Years of minimum experience
• Skills Required:
• Team Management
• High Proficiency in Urdu and English
• Stress Management
• Solid editorial judgment and critical thinking skills
• Passionate about staying informed about global, regional, and local news
