Part-time opening for SUD COUNSELOR for DUI SCHOOL in Fresno, Ca.
certification or registration is required, may consider doing internship if registered by a state certifying entity. Minimum of at least two years full-time experience in alcohol and other drug counseling, or similar work in a drinking driver, residential or outpatient program (24 units/credits in substance abuse counseling may be equivalent to one year experience). Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. must be bondable have a Class C driver's license and auto insurance. Must obtain a background check, physical exam, TB TEST Clearance, CPR/FIRST AID certification is required. If in recovery for a substance use disorder, counselor must have a minimum of (2) years documented sobriety.
Counselor duties
Conduct Alcohol/Drug Education Classes, Group & Individual Counseling Session
Participant Screenings, Intakes and Assessments
Treatment Planning
Charting and Record Keeping of Clinical Activities with Participants
Case Management and Referrals for Ancillary Services
