That’s how we continue to achieve extraordinary things in extraordinary locations.Job description: General Role Purpose (brief description of this job)Reporting to the Transport Superintendent, the Officer, HR Logistics is responsible in assisting the Transport Operation, coordinating a safety transportation system activity at Cobre Panama.Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.Minimum 2 years of experience.Communication and interpersonal skills.Organizational skills and attention to detail.Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures. Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficiency in English (Intermediate to advance English level)Demonstrated capacity in delivering results through the team and in identifying as part of a wider team.Panamanian driving license, desirable.Capacity to analyze complex data, detect opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize the operation.Management of various information systems, including global positioning systems.Demonstrated strength in complex problem solving and judgement.Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables Provide and coordinate all clerical support activities for and transportation staff.Scheduling transportation services, planning routes, and assigning drivers.Managing budgets, as well as processing purchase orders and payments.Liaising between supervisors and drivers, as well as collaborating with other departments to optimize transportation services.Planning routes and preparing schedules, as well as tracking and reporting progress with orders.Handling customer queries and escalating serious complaints to management.Complying with transportation regulations and company policies.Any other duties assigned by direct Transport Superintendent.Supervise and coordinate all logistics admin activities.Assign tasks and verify their compliance with the transportation administrator.Coordinate the external transport operation in real time, this involves GPS monitoring, compliance with routes assigned to contractors and KPIs reporting, in case of contract breaches.Responsible for and liaison with the billing department of the contractors.Responsible for the programming of destinations and schedules of the contractors and their compliance.Behavioural Traits / Personal CharacteristicsBolder: Flexible, versatile, and prepared to take on challenges as needed.Smarter: always looks for efficiencies and better ways of doing things.Driven: Sets high standards, is motivated and determined. This exciting position is based on-site and will be focusing on driving and delivering operational accountability and ownership across various units at Cobre Panama site.
