he Academic English Program (AEP) of Temple University, Japan Campus offers academic English programs to a variety of audiences (including English teachers). The AEP offers semester-long programs held at TUJ every semester, and short-programs held at TUJ and other locations (if asked) during the summer and spring breaks of Japanese schools. The person in this position is expected to help the AEP run those programs and assist with administrative work.
 

Assistance for Director:
Help create legal and financial documents
Help create the minutes of conferences and meetings
Communicate with TUJ and outside staff and instructors (both in Japanese and English)
Assistance for Semester-long Programs:
Create administrative documents using Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Google Docs and Sheets
Create digital surveys using Google Forms
Circulate these documents among students, faculty, and staff
Assistance for Short Programs:
Handle applications, phone/mail inquiries, and preparation for upcoming programs (e.g., data input, nametag and roster creation)
Help with tasks from the beginning to the end of the program (e.g., registration, shopping and serving food and snacks)
Help with tasks after the program (e.g., compiling feedback)

9:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day (35 hours per week)
 
Location
The easiest way to reach the Tokyo campus is by train, through Sangen-jaya station. This station is served by two lines: the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line (subway) and the Tokyu Setagaya Line (tram). Please use the correct one.

Bachelor’s degree
Native-level proficiency in Japanese and advanced-level English (oral and written)
Educational backgrounds in both Japan and the U.S. preferred
Familiarity with Google/Microsoft documents and spreadsheets
Experience handling legal and financial documents is a plus
