GL-events Brussels is part of the GL events Group one of the leaders in the European events market.
The GL-events Group s know-how is based on three areas of expertise:
• the organization of events,
• the operational management on event sites,
• providing logistical services necessary for the holding of trade fairs and congresses.
In Brussels the SQUARE-Brussels site is located in the heart of the historical district of the capital in the garden of the Mont des Arts. The iconic building is an essential meeting point for the MICE sector destination in Brussels.
Job description
We are looking for a Facility Manager to ensure the technical management of the building and the follow-up of all the investments and maintenance works of the site in compliance with the contractual terms and with a constant concern for optimizing costs.
The person recruited shall guarantee:
• safety levels and compliance with applicable standards,
• the quality levels adapted to customers and visitors,
• the application of the principles laid down in delegation and agreement contracts.
Missions
His tasks will be grouped as follows:
Site Management
• establishing tenders with suppliers,
• analyze responses to tenders,
• preparing annual and multiannual budgets,
• develop the annual and multi-year maintenance plan,
• optimizing, planning and monitoring the maintenance operations of the building according to the activity schedules and emergencies (preventive and corrective),
• prepare the building management reports,
• approve incoming invoices from suppliers,
• monitoring of control bodies and regulatory obligations.
Risk Prevention
• assume the role of advisor in prevention and protection at work,
• ensuring the application of safety rules in the public accommodation building on a permanent basis and at events for the public as well as for staff and suppliers working on site,
• ensuring that safety and hygiene rules (HACCP) are respected during the events,
• facilitating the security team of a subcontractor,
• order development and tracking,
• measurement of deviations by monthly meetings,
• contacts with the authorities.
Sustainable development quality
• have a good knowledge of environmental legislation,
• manage and contribute to certification processes (e.g. ISO 20121).
Miscellaneous
• negotiation and management of framework contracts in consultation with departmental managers,
• insurance portfolio management claims reporting and monitoring.

Profile
• you preferably hold a bachelor s or a master s degree in Facility Management,
• you are bilingual French/Dutch and have a very good command of English,
• you have 5 years of professional experience in building maintenance and operation,
• you are comfortable negotiating purchases with suppliers,
• you master the techniques of renovation and improvement of the quality of the building and its equipment,
• you are already trained for the role of prevention counselor or are ready to take the training,
• enthusiastic and with a very good relational.
