About the Unit
The European Government Relations and External Communications team at Yara International – Region Europe is looking for a junior communications officer to help develop communication material and activities. The successful candidate will report to the Vice-President for European Government Relations and External Communications and work closely with the Communications Manager.
The team operates in an exciting, dynamic environment with a high tempo. This is a unique opportunity to help drive communications for Yara International – Region Europe, positioning Yara as a company that contributes to growing a nature-positive food future. You will play a key role in helping deliver on Yara’s mission to responsibly feed the world and protect the planet, which is more important now than ever.
Responsibilities
• Create digital content, both visual and written, for social media, websites, and other online platforms (social media campaigns, videos, promotional emails, etc.)
• Create various communications material for internal and external use (reports, blog articles, editorials, brochures, newsletters, etc.)
• Help manage and grow social media channels (such as Twitter, LinkedIn and potentially Facebook and Instagram)
• Contribute to the organization and execution of events and conferences
Profile
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
• At least 1 to 3 years’ experience working in a similar role
• Previous experience in managing social media accounts and developing social media content (mainly Twitter and experience with LinkedIn); experience from a European institution, trade association or international organization is a plus
Competencies
• Proficiency in managing social media accounts and developing social media content (mainly Twitter and experience with LinkedIn)
• Proficiency in using graphic design platforms to create social media assets (experience with Adobe Creative Cloud – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop – is a plus)
• Knowledge of other digital marketing tools such as Mailchimp and Hootsuite is a plus
• Excellent English language skills (C1 or higher); other languages are a plus (esp. Spanish, French, Italian, German, Norwegian…)
• Creative, tech savvy and solutions oriented, staying up to date on the latest social media trends, functions, features, platforms, etc.
• Motivated team player who is also self-driven and able to take initiative and ownership
• Proven organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Additional Information
Starting date: as soon as possible
