Synatom is looking for a Senior Business Controller. You will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Your Mission
Controlling activities Synatom
Reporting, Budgets and MTP :
• In collaboration with the CFO, proposes budget and MTP figures,
• In collaboration with a fellow controller, follows monthly expenses
• Generates monthly, quarterly and yearly reports, both for internal and external use
Audit committees : preparation of committees in collaboration with CFO
Following of invoicing (incoming and outgoing)
Ad hoc analyses and reporting e.g. on specific new topics
Continuous Improvements of the existing processes.
Controlling activities Nuclear Power Plants Decommissionning
Track nuclear provision consumptions in alignment with Decom program controllers
Prepares reports for various stakeholders : Audit Committee, Commission Provisions Nucléaires ..
Build and develop a strong collaboration with the Electrabal business controllers;
Manage reinvoicing process from Electrabel for all Provision related expenses in accordance with relevant conventions
Risk Management Synatom
Helps the CFO in managing Synatom’s Risks
• Operational risks
• Financial risks
Develop existing framework of risks activities and is responsible for the regularly reportings towards the various stakeholders
Your profile
University degree: master level (preferably in Finance / Economy) or equal by experience.
Relevant experience in Finance
Specific knowledge
Knowledge of finance and accounting principles
Ability to work autonomously in a small team
Ability to create relationships with business partners
Ability to make accurate and relevant financial analysis, assessments and judgments
Capability to summarize (synthetic mindset)
Fluent in Dutch/French, Additional fluency in English is mandatory.
Team player
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Pro-active, flexible and dynamic
Extensive knowledge of MS Excel. Knowledge of SAP tools ; SMART consolidation tool is a plus.
