The role

WGSN, Mindset is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our team in the US, as part of our Mindset consultancy department.

Salary range - $75,000 - $110,000

Role overview

An excellent and creative thought leader with an extensive knowledge of global trends, you will have experience in fashion and/or retail enabling you to contribute to the development of the Mindset consultancy team's vision and revenue growth. Focusing on a defined set of clients in the fashion and retail space, you will develop commercial research solutions that address their needs across a range of topics and categories, applying your experience in directing and managing research, analysis and strategy to meet these client needs and challenges.

The team

The WGSN Mindset team provides world-class consultancy services to our global clients, working within a business that offers a unique blend of specialist researchers, data analysts and industry experts who put trends and data together to provide the answers to create tomorrow. Our fast growing, high performing teamwork in a permanent capacity within WGSN, providing bespoke consultancy projects to clients across multiple industries.

Key accountabilities
• Own and direct large client relationships, constantly identifying potential growth opportunities for the Mindset business
• Research and create solution driven insights and analysis showing a clear understanding of project briefs and clients' business contexts
• Conduct and oversee qualitative primary and secondary research across a variety of methodologies and deliver analysis that provides actionable recommendations that will benefit clients' future business
• Identify new methodologies and frameworks that will ensure best in class consulting that consistently wins new business
• Accountable for the relevancy and quality of analysis delivered to clients, evaluating feedback to maintain and improve standards
• Line management and oversight of teams performance and personal career development plans
• Travel nationally and internationally to deliver high value consulting projects to clients
• Maintain a close working relationship with the commercial and content teams to support client needs and future growth opportunities

Skills, experience & qualifications required
• Experience within consulting, strategy, consumer insight, design, buying, merchandising, data analysis or content creation, familiar with the workings of agency and consulting models
• Expert level of research, analysis & strategy. Understanding of business strategy to turn research into an actionable insights for clients
• Proven knowledge of the global market from macro to micro trends across consumer, fashion and lifestyle product areas, and the ability to assimilate client challenges/needs into commercial opportunities
• High level of understanding of the role data and analytics plays in commercial success. Ability to analyze data and pinpoint trends that will impact the market.
• Ability to lead teams, prioritize workload, manage and support other members of the team. High level of proficiency in leading projects and initiatives across multiple teams and time zones
• Excellent organization, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to lead and work within an international team to ensure strategy & outputs are of a consistently high standard
• Excellent presentation skills with proven experience of presenting to C-Suite level, internal stakeholders, external clients and events
• Technical skills: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, Social Media platforms, good working knowledge of Adobe software, keynote an advantage
