Angola’s Human Resources Manager will coordinate a team of Local HRBPs, Payroll Specialists and HR administrators. Will be as well a Matrix Manager for all other local HR activities (Talent Acquisition, Reward, International Mobility, Contractors Management, Learning & Talent Management).

Main responsibilities:
• The Human Resource Manager (HRM) adds value to the (senior) business management team on human resource related issues to ensure that Local JV can achieve competitive advantage through its Human Capital Strategy.
• The HRM is responsible for the overall HR management of Luanda shore base and Angola offshore workforce in close collaboration with the business, the (global) HRBPs, HR Leadership Team and HR Experts.
• The HRM ensures a strong focus on company’s Values as well as a long(er) term Human Capital view within the RC and within the senior business management team.
• The Human Resource Manager is also responsible for providing strategic (sourcing) advice, offering ideas, insights, and recommendations on Company’s policies, staffing strategies, new business and other topics that impact the global and local business.
• The HRM will design and lead local change management initiatives compliant with (local and global) law & legislation as well as SBM Policies and procedures whilst ensuring appropriate consultation where necessary. You are responsible for promoting and embedding strong leadership, positive behavior, and culture throughout the organization. You will be the focal point for all local regulations and contacts with local unions.
• The HRM ensures that the HR functional organization is aligned with the business needs and is set up to support and deliver to the business.
• The HRM has a strong focus on policy improvement and standardization, as well as in the implementation of new legislation.

Job requirements:
• A university degree deems relevant for the function, such as Human Resources, Management, Law, or Organizational Psychology.
• 5 to 10 years of HR management experience with excellent knowledge of Angolan Labor regulation in the widest sense.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience with community engagement.
• Proven track of managing ambiguity in a versatile environment.
• Experience with Angolan unions and related processes.
• Experience with labor law litigation.
• Affinity with Payroll activities.
• Analytical and reporting skills related to HR management information.
• Good negotiation skills.
• Discretion and diplomacy.
• Coaching and conflict management ability.
• Effective Communication skills with local and international staff.
