Job dimensions
- Accountable for subsea activities required for the delivery of well interventions on the vessel, in compliance with codes of practice, safety and environmental protection
- Responsible for ensuring that subsea tools and equipment are available and functional so that NPT is minimized.
- Responsible, during operational shift, for the technical supervision of subsea service contractors executing contract services offshore on the intervention vessel
- Responsible for managing the 3rd party Offshore Subsea Personnel and the maintenance and backload of subsea equipment on the vessel.
- Responsible for HSE, and operational performance for subsea scopes.
- Coordinates toolbox talks and service providers associated with the subsea scopes.
- Ensures the suitability of subsea offshore personnel, equipment, and services (in sphere of responsibility) to operational requirements associated with: Subsea Interventions, Deep Water environment, Risk assessments, Transverse disciplines / multi-skilled position.
- Prepares, plans, optimizes, executes, and follows up rig subsea intervention operations
- Writes the subsea work instructions and supervises the preparation of equipment for execution.
- Reviews and provides feedback on the well program.
- Contributes to a continual search for improving equipment, services, and operational procedures
- Involved with intervention preparation onshore, when required within the well supply team.
Activities
- Supervise the subsea operations during and interventions with full respect of company procedures and policies;
- Supervise the logistics of offshore subsea personnel and equipment, in order to optimise offshore operations;
- Lead optimisation of procedures in order to reduce costs and delays;
- Lead subsea intervention crews;
- Lead coordination of logistics for subsea personnel and equipment;
- Lead planning and preparation of the subsea completion operations:
- Participate to the optimisation of planning and preparation to reduce the non productive time and the invisible lost time;
- Report daily to Subsea Vessel Superintendent and discuss any potential problems to find adequate & safe solutions;
- Perform QA/QC of all CLIENTS equipment delivered by service provider by controlling the conformity to CLIENTS requirements;
- Optimise procedures and operational programs in order to reduce costs and delays;
- Organise, plan, supervise, Control & Coordinate the third parties Technicians jobs & activities in a safe and efficient manner;
- Ensure optimum planning and preparation and thus reducing the non productive time and also the invisible lost time;
- Prepare and write the daily subsea operation reports
Context and environment
- Rotational Offshore position 4 weeks x 4 weeks, 12 hr shift on intervention vessel.
- Ultra-deep-water context.
- High level of technical risks due to the operational costs.
- High level of COMOPS and SIMOPS operation to be carried out.
- Harsh Environment with low level of technical support for complex wells.
Accountabilities
- Full Application of HSE & Operational Procedures and Policies are maintained.
- All subsea operations are achieved within the cost & duration limits with expected well productivity:
- Third part contactors are supervised and consulted on operations.
- Reliable and regular reporting of operations to hierarchy.
- Subsea Know-how is shared within Total Group.
- Subordinates are efficiently managed and trained.
Qualifications/Experience required
- 10 years minimum experience in offshore Subsea Intervention activity, preferably in deep offshore.
- Experience on dedicated subsea intervention vessels
- Good interpersonal skills and organisation ability are also required.
- IFP Drilling & Completion degree or equivalent.
- IWCF well control Subsea certificate (Well Intervention).
- IWCF Level 4 Intervention
- BOSIET including HUET
