In a team that interfaces with other entities (Drilling, Completion, Production & PBF), guaranty the engineering dossier to perform subsea
intervention works according to procedures, HSE objectives, and within time and budget.
The Subsea Intervention Engineer will assist the life of field Head of Service and lead LOF Snr Engineer with scopes relating to technical
preparation of well intervention dossiers and programs. This preparation includes preparing well dossier, preparing programs, identifying
equipment and services required, working with other entities to ensure successful execution of the intervention. In addition, the Subsea
Intervention Engineer will provide support to the execution team during the well intervention campaign.
This position requires minimum of requirement:
Requires knowledge of Subsea Production Systems (specifically Xmas Trees), Wellhead Systems, Tubing Hanger systems, XT Mode interventions, TH Mode interventions in a deep-water environment.
The engineer will have to quickly get familiar with the affiliate's subsea assets to understand specific needs and challenges.
The Life of Field Engineer reports to the Head of Service.
The Subsea Intervention Engineer is a change agent and is expected to bear creative and innovative qualities. S/he must be able to think outof-the-box, adapt, and deploy change to the subsea business entity.
Activities
HSE
Ensure well control requirements and barrier management during preparation of the well interventions
Display HSE Leadership by always setting an example of high HSEQ standards to the workers.
Ensure full application of the CLIENTS HSEQ MAESTRO 12 Fundamental Rules.
Keep a high level of safety during LOF activities and integrate company rules in its activities, participating in HSE SCM, Cause Tree
Analysis (CTA) and Service provider / Rig contractor MHSEQ Audit.
Be involved on the service quality improvement by participating actively at SQM meetings
Report to company on all onsite HSE related issues.
Management
Support life of field Head of Service to manage execution & performance of the well intervention.
Ensures the timely control and validation of proforma / final invoices and ensure compliance with accounting and P2P requirements.
Align with other entities in term of battery limits / interfaces to enable proper integration of the works as regards intervention activities.
Operation
Prepare programs and guidelines for intervention operations.
Ensure appropriate equipment follow-up, maintenance, and purchase to meet operational requirements
Contract follow-up (Cost control, Change order...) as required / directed
Make sure that operations are conducted as per procedures and programs.
Correct misalignment between program and execution through debriefs and the application of lessons learnt over time.
Optimize process workflows so that time, cost, and effort can be optimized within its area of influence.
Quality
Ensure proper QAQC is applied to guarantee the availability of tools before loadouts.
Find solutions to improve the performance of operations.
Ensure and optimize the productivity of wells in conjunction with GSR, by setting a clear program.
Monitor the integrity of the operation and well intervention with drilling/completion, fields ops and well performance teams.
Know and ensure the application of Company rules for completion operations and TEPA safety instructions.
Initiate derogations where applicable.
Others
Prepare all documentation and information for the end of well intervention report
Daily synthesis will be done during all well duration and write short REX
Contexte et environnement
The position is in Luanda main office, with a few missions offshore to prepare and follow-up the operations as required.
Deep water context with Costly deep-water intervention vessel & Subsea Wells. SIMOPS operations.
High level of technical risks due to the operational costs & nature of planned operation/interventions.
High level of performances objectives.
Accountabilities
Accountable to seek optimization and savings all along the different contract and projects - Focus on costs without impairing QHSE objectives.
In parallel, the engineer will have to assist the drilling & well entity as the technical subsea specialist.
Maintenance and improvement of Subsea technical performances & costs.
Qualifications/Position requirements
University degree in suitable discipline
Minimum 10 years in the petroleum industry with experience working as a subsea engineer in a well intervention context
The incumbent should preferably have a previous experience in technical management
Good knowledge of deep-water SPS systems and subsea well access / intervention in engineer plus either operations, maintenance, or manufacturing
Good communication and ability to work on several subjects within a transverse organization.
